Spectrex™ SharpEye 40/40D-I Ultra Fast Multispectrum Quad-Sense Flame Detector

The Ultra Fast Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-I IR3 Quad-Sense flame detector is the latest innovation in IR3 Quad-Sense flame detector technology and is part of the Next generation SharpEye 40/40 series.

The Ultra Fast Spectrex SharpEye 40/40-D-I IR3 Quad-Sense flame detector technology uses four independent IR sensors all placed in the invisible infra-red spectrum to detect hydrocarbon fires. Using this technology Spectrex creates an enhanced performance, advanced long-distance detection of hydrocarbon fires up to 90 m along with ultra-fast detection in under 50 msec with unparalleled reliability. The 40/40D-I ensures superior performance with immunity to false alarms while keeping a SharpEye on your safety!

The Ultra Fast Spectrex SharpEye 40/40-D-I IR3 Quad-Sense flame detector is used and suited for a large variety of applications, including but not limited to tank storage farms, offshore platforms, FPSO’s and gas production, compression and storage facilities. Because of the high quality, SIL 3 and DNV approval and MTBF of over 150.000 hours the units can operate in safety critical applications as well as applications where explosions may occur where detection in milliseconds is required.

Because of the large variety of substances with an FM performance approval such as Lithium Ion as well as the ultra-fast detection in milliseconds the unit is popular in the waste industry and, tank farm applications and offshore oil and gas installations.
